LAZYTOWN ANNOUNCES NEW MANAGEMENT POSITIONS

LazyTown today announced two new positions in the company infrastructure.

Haukur Gislason, formerly Regional Director for the Nordic Territories has taken on the position of head of TV Sales & Media, making him the first point of contact for all broadcast partners and new media prospects. Hawk has been with LazyTown since 2003, and will attend MIPTV 2008 along with Katie Foster and Catrina Stock from the newly formed LazyTown Europe office in London.

Guðmundur Magnason joins the company from US company Theater Mogul, which specializes in licensing of theatrical properties worldwide. Magnason has the position of Managing Director, International Brand and Licensing, from where he will oversee all of the sales activities and strategy, across the board and continue to build LazyTown’s already successful licensing program.

Magnason commented on joining the LazyTown team. “For some time I have been watching LazyTown’s progress with much interest. Being Icelandic, it was a great motivation to all of us, to see a home-grown concept blossom into a worldwide phenomenon. I am delighted to now be part of this inspirational and hard-working team, and look forward to seeing the LazyTown Movement continue to inspire kids and carers alike across the globe.”
