Magnús Scheving, founder and creator receives the Icelandic EDDA Honour Award
Magnús Scheving, the founder and creator of LazyTown, last night received the EDDA Honour Award (Iceland’s equivalent to the EMMY Awards) by the Icelandic film and television Academy, the highest accolade in his native country.
BAFTA
LazyTown has been nominated in the International category of the most prestigious Awards of the year in the UK, the Children’s British Academy Awards. The ceremony takes place in London on the 26th November 2006 and the winners are announced on the night.
Emmy
LazyTown´s Stephanie (Julianna Rose Mauriello) was nominated as an outstanding performer in a children´s series in the 2006 Daytime Emmy Awards.

LazyTown became a celebrated winner of an iParenting Media Award in the television category from the 2006 iParenting Media Awards.
World Health Organization
World Health Organisation wanted Magnus to participate in one of their surveys in 2005. Among other participants in this survey were Jimmi Carter and Shirin Ebadi
Scandinavian Public Health Prize, 2004
Magnus Scheving, founder and creator of LazyTown was awarded the Scandinavian Public Health Prize in 2004 for his work in motivating children through the world of LazyTown.
Obesity amongst children is an increasing health problem in the Nordic countries, and Scheving works in an unconventional and innovative way to the benefit of the health and entertainment of children. In the world of LazyTown, children are motivated to live a healthy lifestyle through a combination of play and positive stimulus.
Achievements as Entrepreneur and Marketing Man:
Magnus Scheving was voted the Marketing Man of the Year In 2003 by the Icelandic Marketing Association. He was also voted Entrepreneur of the Year by Channel 2 Broadcaster and the Icelandic Financial Newspaper.
